The property itself was decent, but unfortunately, our experience with the host left a lot to be desired. My biggest concern was how an additional guest fee was handled. Although I provided the host with our guest information weeks in advance, I was not informed of the additional charge until less than 24 hours before check-in. The last-minute timing was frustrating and could have been communicated much earlier. Another major issue was the WiFi. During our stay, it only worked reliably in the first bedroom and was essentially unusable throughout the rest of the apartment. This was especially inconvenient because there was also little to no cell service inside the unit. My guests and I had to step outside of the apartment just to make a call. I would recommend that future guests clarify all potential fees in advance and be aware of the limited WiFi and cell service.

Unfortunately we did not have a good stay here. The Internet did not work for the full day except for at the very entrance of the first bedroom and so I had to take all of my work calls from the bed. The apartment is just one floor up from Reception and you can hear the guard playing very loud music which woke us up every morning at 6 am. The apartment is also incredibly dark on the inside because it’s on the ground floor so there’s no light inside giving it a very depressing feeling. Also there’s no view of the sky from anywhere in the apartment so you feel quite claustrophobic. The cleaning also unfortunately was not done well. Whoever mopped the floor left shoe stains on the wet floor which left brown marks everywhere

Condesa is built around two art deco parks, Parque México and Parque España, on a 1920s street plan that curves Avenida Ámsterdam into a long oval where a racetrack once ran. Avenida Tamaulipas and Avenida Nuevo León carry most of the restaurants and bars, set in converted houses with sidewalk tables, and Lardo bakes its sourdough in view of the street.
